Welcome to the Commmunity Impact Awards of Southern Kentucky

Known for its central location and southern style of living, Southern Kentucky offers an exceptional quality of life that is unsurpassed by any other community in the nation. While the abundance of arts, culture, and natural beauty are major reasons for the area’s attraction, it is really the people who have helped make Southern Kentucky what it is today. Unselfish service, sacrifice and commitment are the characteristics of a handful of local citizens each year who lead the way.

Moved by the need to celebrate Southern Kentucky and its values, citizenry and life, one community-based, non-profit radio station, Christian Family Radio, has established the Community Impact Awards of Southern Kentucky. By being continuously involved in the community, Christian Family Radio has seen first hand the hard work and dedication of volunteers and community leaders who are helping to shape the future of our area.

Nominations are being accepted through August 7. An independent selection committee will process the nominations and Christian Family Radio will recognize the award recipients at a special dinner banquet on November 19, 2009.
